What to Expect on the Day

Whether this is your first event of its kind or something you’ve been waiting for, we want you to arrive feeling prepared, comfortable, and ready to enjoy the experience.

Here’s what the day at Strange Little Obsessions will look like.

Arrival & entry

On arrival, you’ll be greeted by our event team who will help guide you through entry and answer any immediate questions.

Tickets will be checked at the door, so please have them ready on your phone or printed. Once inside, you’re free to explore at your own pace.

If you’re wearing cosplay or carrying props, these may be checked briefly at entry to ensure everything meets our safety guidelines.

The atmosphere

Strange Little Obsessions is designed to be immersive but not overwhelming.

Expect a dark, curated aesthetic, creative spaces, and an environment that encourages browsing, conversation, and discovery rather than rushing from place to place.

There’s no right way to experience the event. Take your time. Linger where something catches your attention.

Artists, vendors & guests

You’ll find a carefully selected mix of:

  • Artists and illustrators
  • Makers and independent businesses
  • Guests and creatives connected to horror and alternative culture

Some guests may be offering signings, artwork, or informal meet-and-greet opportunities. Any scheduled sessions will be clearly signposted or announced on the day.

Accessibility & wellbeing

We’re committed to making the event as accessible and welcoming as possible.

Quiet areas, seating, and clearly marked facilities will be available. If you need assistance at any point, our team will be easy to spot and happy to help.

If you have specific access needs, we encourage you to contact us ahead of the event so we can support you where possible.

Food & drink

Food and drink options will be available at or near the venue. Details will be shared closer to the event, including any dietary information where applicable.

Please follow venue guidance regarding outside food and drink.

Photography & filming

Personal photography is welcome.
Please be respectful of other attendees, performers, and vendors, and always ask before taking close-up photos.

Some areas or guests may have restrictions, which will be clearly communicated on the day.

Cosplay & dress code

Cosplay and alternative dress are welcome but never required.

All costumes and props must follow our safety guidelines. If you’re unsure about a costume or prop, please refer to our Cosplay FAQ or contact us in advance.

Comfortable footwear is strongly recommended.

Respect & conduct

Strange Little Obsessions is a space built on mutual respect.

Harassment, discrimination, or behaviour that makes others feel uncomfortable will not be tolerated. Our team reserves the right to step in if needed to ensure everyone feels safe.

Leaving the event

You’re welcome to stay for as long as the event is open and leave at your own pace.

Before you go, take a final wander. You never know what you might discover the second time around.
